Oral calcium and vitamin D supplement for freshening cows, with fast and sustained release of calcium. Cal-Boost® is a supplemental source of calcium for dairy cows during the demanding period at freshening. Contains immediate-release calcium and sustained-release calcium plus vitamin D which is necessary for the absorption and metabolism of calcium and phosphorus.
Active Ingredients Per Bolus:
Calcium chloride – 3.95 oz
Calcium sulfate – 1.89 oz
Vitamin D3 – 50,000 IU
Inactive Ingredients Per Bolus:
Water
Acetylated monoglycerides
Xanthan gum
Minimum Protocol: Give one bolus immediately after calving and a second bolus 12 – 24 hours after calving. Administer using the Cal-Boost® branded applicator.
Extended Protocol: For high yielding cows administer:
• 1st bolus at the first signs of parturition
• 2nd bolus immediately after calving
• 3rd bolus 12 – 24 hours after calving
• 4th bolus 24 – 48 hours after calving

No withdrawal period for meat and withholding time for milk are required when used according to the label. Keep out of reach of children. Consult the product label for all indications and conditions of use.
